Voting him in once is on him. Doing it a 2nd time is on you. You
know he's guilty. You know he's corrupt. You know on his best days he's barely
coherent and sane. You know the damage he's doing to this nation, our security,
and image in the world. It’s OK to lie to yourself, but please don’t lie to me.
For the record, I didn’t vote for Trump in 2016. I didn’t vote for
Hillary. They were two horrible candidates. I’m a lifelong republican. Fiscal
Conservative. Socially moderate. I believe in free trade, capitalism, legal
immigration, elimination of automatic and semi-automatic weapons and some level
of gun reform, background checks, a woman’s right to choose, etc. However, after
Trump was elected, I really hoped he would actually “President” and the GOP
would get some of the fiscal elements done.
I know people hoped he’d throw the whole system out and see what
happened if they disrupted political norms and elected a “guy who says it like
it is.” The system is so dysfunctional, I understand that impulse. But objectively,
this is where we are now: President Bigly Dumbass has never been fit for office.
It appears that he is mentally unhinged and has taken the dysfunction to a
level nobody could have foreseen - and if we go another 4 years, I don’t know
if the republic can recover in my lifetime.
He makes shit up. He thinks he can just buy other countries. He thinks
he can bribe leaders from other countries. He thinks we can nuke hurricanes. He
has affairs with porn stars after his wife just gave birth to his 5th
child by his 3rd.wife (I think that’s how many wives he’s had?),
then pays them off for silence. He makes up phone calls with world leaders to
manipulate markets (That’s a felony by the way). He takes the word of Vladimir
Putin and Kim Jong Un over his own Secretaries of Defense and National Intelligence.
He allows foreign sheiks to kill American journalists and justifies it because
they buy our planes.
His supporters talk around it. They play word games. “Everyone is
corrupt.” “They all do it.” “We want transparency.” “We want a process.” We can
debate what that means. But this shitstain is pathological. “Awww, he’s just
inexperienced.” “He didn’t mean it.” You laugh off the absurdity of the
President of the United States threatening to nuke a thunderstorm to send it
away or get angry at a country for not selling him another country but it’s not
funny. He drew a made-up cone of uncertainty for a Hurricane? Who does that?
Think about this… He was fined $2mm for stealing from a “charity” that
was supposed to support Veterans, and nobody cared. Hopefully it’s because they
were focusing on the $391mm of OUR money he held up that was intended to
protect an ally from an enemy until that ally promised to investigate a
political challenger. That is clearly a violation of the constitution (foreign
involvement in a domestic election). If Obama or Clinton had done that…? We impeached
Clinton for lying under oath. On a sliding scale, that is way less of a ‘crime
or misdemeanor’. But go back and look at all the emails you’ve sent out trashing
either/both of them. Double standard much? It’s kind of sad. But you listen to
the BS that Nunes and Jordan and Meadows and Graham and Gaetz and Gohmert spew
- point to that and say “Yea—what they said!”
You’re following this clown into his made-up cone of bullshit and
distraction and avoiding real issues like gun violence, immigration, health
care, poverty and climate change, something this dipshit doesn’t even believe
exists because apparently, he knows more as a (cough) ‘realtor’ than the entire
scientific community. And have I mentioned he drew a made-up cone of
uncertainty on a NWS map-with a sharpie? WTF? But you hang on his every word.
Most of them are lies.
The willingness of some normally intelligent friends and family to turn
away from his relentless lies and craziness and self-humiliate has become a sad
feature of the Age of Trump. I watch and listen to people justify the things he
says with ‘what-about-ism’ by going back 3 years to crazy conspiracy theories
and go along with his ramblings to a point where I just walk away. And you’re
calling others stupid?
The Republicans say they’ve been trying to impeach him since the day he
was elected. Are you sure about that? I’m not a Pelosi fan but she held off on
ANY movement towards impeachment until information came forward re Trump’s call
with Zelensky-which by the way - took place the day AFTER Mueller
testified. Apparently, Donald felt like
swinging his mushroom-dick around, and even though his call was “PERFECT,” the “transcript”
he wants us all to read (which isn’t actually a transcript) was immediately put
on a secret server, because enough people were freaked out about it and went to
WH counsel right after because they knew there was a problem.
“But the President has authority over foreign policy!” You’re right, but
the President is also accountable for how he uses that authority. And when uses
it to target Americans to entrench his own power, the Constitution says
Congress should act. And why would he ask a FOREIGN Government to investigate a
US citizen? Sondland and Vindman and Hill and the Impeachment Inquiry have
proven that’s EXACTLY what he was doing. You clowns like to use the “slippery
slope” argument when it comes to the 2A, Does that apply here? What if he
turned his authority on me for exercising Free speech?
I can’t believe you’d still support this clown if gun violence, health
care, chronic lying, infidelity, election and tax fraud, etc were DIRECTLY
impacting you or your family. When people tell me they like his policies I ask
them “which ones?” Very rarely can I get an answer that is based on facts.
But I love how the “evangelicals” live in a bubble where they are a
Christian on some days, but allow a liar/tax cheat/racist/ misogynist to speak
for them every day, and support torturous dictators, and family separation
whenever it’s good for their wallet, and simply respond by saying “…but her
emails”, or “my 401k”. Trump has cheated on all 3 wives, has had porn stars for
mistresses and attends church about 2x year (usually on his way back from the
golf course.) But you only see what you want to see. I saw this on Twitter
recently and it sums up the Trump-supporting Evangelical base perfectly: “like most evangelicals, our president believes that marriage is a sacred
institution between a man and a woman and another woman after that and then
another woman after that with paid-off porn stars and playboy playmates and
other participants, both willing and unwilling, mixed in.” What. The. Actual. F^ck? Read this article, then look in the mirror: https://johnpavlovitz.com/2018/01/12/good-people-dont-defend-bad-man/?utm_campaign=coschedule&utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=johnpavlovitz
I love it when MAGAts point to his foreign affairs work like he’s a
genius. Let’s recap the first three
years:
·
He got played by Kim Jong Un.
Nothing has changed in North Korea--but they’re three years closer to
Nukes and have continued missile launches.
·
He’s MANAGING Russia – despite their meddling in our
elections.
·
He NEEDS Saudi Arabia - despite murdering our journalist.
·
He was going to have the Taliban… (the FREAKIN’ TALIBAN!!!)
come to Camp David during the Anniversary week of 9/11. Key word: TALIBAN - But
had to cancel.
·
They’ll point to the recent killing of the ISIS leader
Al-Baghdadi.
o
Great, but his abrupt withdrawal from Syria and abandonment
of the Kurds put that mission at risk.
o
Here’s another question… how many times before they got
Baghdadi had ElDopey ever mentioned him?... Had YOU ever heard of him before
that?
Since mid-August, there have been three mass shootings in Texas. How’s
that open carry, “good guy with a gun will stop a bad guy with a gun” thing
working out in Texas? You’ll point to the “White Settlement Church Shooting”
(of course there’s a “White Settlement Church” in Texas – insert EyeRoll) but
it was an ex-FBI agent with 24 years of service who brought the shooter down.
The rest of the armed congregants (think about that term “armed congregants” …
WTF) were bumbling around like Barney Fife.
And in the Odessa shooting, a 17-month-old baby was shot in the face. Help
me understand how gun violence fits into the Republican pro-life agenda? Does
your Pro-life agenda end after departing the birth canal? I guess that only
applies until birth…
We aren’t on the precipice of catastrophe or at the doorstep of
doom...we are sadly past it. Our annual deficit now exceed $1Trillion dollars. This
“dotard” said he’d eliminate it. And now as he’s about to be impeached he’s
talking about more tax cuts when the 2018 tax cuts aren’t even close to doing
what he said they would. Those cuts were supposed to find their way to the
worker, but 70% of the corporate tax cuts went to stock buy backs. And if you
want to bitch about “them thar foreigners” what are you going to do about those
that own US equities-(They own 35% of the US stock market….?) You want to limit
them too? What’ll happen to your 401k without them?
This moron still hasn’t hit 3% GDP growth in a single quarter since he
got elected and there are signs of slowing headed into 2020—"The ISM
report is contracting and showing continued weakness to start the year based on
weak product demand and hiring. Service sector readings in December… indicates
potential for slowing. The labor market is still on solid footing … which is
consistent with strong labor growth. Despite apparent strength, wage growth has
been elusive and soft at 2.9% year over year in December.” Trump loves the poorly educated so they don’t
pay attention to these realities.
Our debt has grown faster than under any other previous President -
ever. Our kids are going to be handicapped by that. For a long time. And now
he’s going to steal $3.6billion from the FEMA and defense budget, to
unilaterally allocate to build an unnecessary wall that, oh yea, he said Mexico
would pay for.
If any of my kids brought home a person like Trump, or Junior, or Eric,
or the type of people he has surrounded himself with (Pruitt, Epstein, Kushner
to name a few) or were insulted by people like this, and were still hanging out
with them 2-3 years later - as a parent- I’d lock them in their rooms and throw
away the key! You’d let your daughter marry them?
We need leadership at all levels of government to tackle terrorism,
global economies, dictators, and environmental changes unlike any humanity has
seen in the last few thousand years. But we don’t have that. We have sycophants
(Rubio, Cruz, Meadows, Jordan, Gaetz) and suck ups. We have a man more
interested in who likes him & who doesn’t than in anybody’s welfare
currently reading this. He legislates through Hannity and Dobbs and Fox News.
I know some people out there believe they must support this manbaby because
he represents the “religious and moral values” they share. Seriously? What
religious values are those? Please tell me you don’t really believe that… Lying,
cheating, stealing, coveting, and deceiving are not moral attributes worthy of
lauding. What religious values has he ever demonstrated? What VALUES has he ever demonstrated? Racism?
Torture? Hate? Bullying? Misogyny? The spouse cheating? Anyone with an IQ over
50 isn’t laughing with you, they’re laughing AT you.
Trump is a fraud. Always has been, always will be. Can’t tell the truth
if it’s standing in front of him You know it. And if you don’t know it, I’m sad
for you.
Why won’t he show us his taxes? You know why. He’s a cheat. He admitted
to running a ‘charity’ (for VETERANS) that was a fraud. In case you missed it, that $2mm fine I mentioned, it was THAT phony charity. In any other Presidency
that’d be a huge scandal. In the Trump
administration it’s ‘Wednesday afternoon’.
This isn’t about moral leadership. If you can sleep at night telling
yourself that this President is a morally righteous, mentally sound, truthful
man, again, I am sad for you. I am however, happy that I can’t fool my brain
into believing a single syllable of that sentence. I’d still have hair. But I’m
not living with my head in the sand.
“Trump Supporter” and “Critical Thinker” are mutually exclusive. They
don’t exist in the same universe. Critical thinkers see what a child should be
able to see...we are all in danger as long as this demagogue is in the Oval
Office. Rex Tillerson was right. Donald
Trump is a f*cking moron. A racist white nationalist, who has just stopped even
using dog whistles. Now he’s just saying it out loud.
Our allies are now our enemies. Our enemies are now inside our gates
making a mockery of our system while Tiny Hands and his GOP enablers (Graham, Gaetz,
Cornyn, Cruz, McConnell, Rubio, Turner, Jordan, etc) cheer them on. 2020 isn’t just
a normal election year. We have already failed this test once. I look at the
GOP and am embarrassed to say I USED to be a Republican. I look at the clowns
that have been GOP reps on these committees and wonder “how bad were the
candidates who didn’t get elected?” If we fail again...there is
no do-over. And it’ll be on you and your white-hooded compadres.
He has allowed the worst of Americans to feel comfortable and slither
out from under their rocks, get their hoods dry-cleaned, and feel free to be
the ugly Americans the rest of the world thinks we are. Maybe you’re NOT a
racist, but you elected one. It was clear when he came down the elevator, he
barely tried to hide it during the campaign and it’s even more clear now.
What has happened in the last 3+ years is embarrassing. And what he has exposed in some people is
sad. Family, friends, co-workers, colleagues. I KNOW that in a country of 320mm
people we can do better. Better than Trump. Better than Hillary. Better than the
35% of MAGAts digging in and excusing his stupidity and dishonest behavior.
If you’ve read this far, I’ll sum this up for you: This is a maggot, who couldn’t make money with CASINOS, sold
out our democracy for foreign property, used a fake college to defraud
students, ripped off a VETERANS charity, and paid off a porn star— but you’re
not quite convinced he’d hold up aid for Ukraine over information on a
credible, ethical political opponent to help him win an election?
Got it….
